Ms.Pratigya Bashyal

Ms. Bashyal is a dedicated policy professional with extensive experience in research, policy development, and strategic initiatives. She has led impactful research projects addressing electoral disinformation, digital media literacy, and local revenue mobilization. She spearheaded a GIZ-funded study on conflicts of interest in the executive branch and co-authored multiple policy briefs to influence evidence-based policymaking.
Ms. Bashayal has designed and implemented innovative programs, including a digital media literacy curriculum for adolescents, which has trained over 3,000 students on cybercrime, misinformation, and privacy. She authored Kehi Sikai, a children’s storybook promoting awareness of government policies, which is now used in municipal schools in Tilottama Municipality, Rupandehi.
An alumna of the U.S. Department of State’s Professional Fellows Program, she collaborated with the City Council of Philadelphia and participated in cross-cultural policymaking exchanges. With a Master’s in Public Policy and Management, Pratigya’s work emphasizes empowering communities through education, fostering informed governance, and driving impactful policy reforms.
