Mrs. Mainali is a pioneering social entrepreneur and co-founder of Shakti Milan Nepal. This upcycling social enterprise creates sustainable bags from discarded materials. In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, she also operates a hotel aligned with the principles of circular economy, women empowerment, and social justice.
Demonstrating her commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in Nepal, Mrs. Mainali serves as a Founding Board Member of the Social Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the Social Welfare Council. Her role involves shaping the fund’s vision, identifying best practices, and advocating for policy changes to cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country.
Mrs. Mainali has a proven track record of success. She is the recipient of prestigious awards including the National Youth Talent Award (Nepal), Indira Gandhi Priyadarshani Award (India), and the Social Entrepreneurship Award (Nepal).
Her academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Professional Fellow Program from the University of Oklahoma, fully funded by the US Department of State. A passionate advocate for social entrepreneurship, green economy, and women empowerment, Mrs. Mainali is a sought-after trainer, mentor, and influencer. She has contributed extensively as a panelist and jury member at numerous events and is a regular contributor to media on social, political, and economic issues.
