Shalini is a researcher currently working as a consultant at the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) on issues of agricultural trade and climate smart agriculture in two International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) research projects. She previously worked at Social Science Baha on a four-year research project (AGRUMIG) exploring the agriculture-migration linkages across three different agro-ecological zones in Nepal. She has a keen interest in rural economies, agricultural trade, and livelihoods.
She has a Master’s degree in Economics from Patan Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar.
