Ms. Tripti Rai
Country Director, Oxfam in Nepal
Ms. Rai is the Country Director of Oxfam in Nepal, a position she has held since February 2024. Before joining Oxfam, she successfully led WaterAid Nepal for over nine years, driving impactful initiatives to improve access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
With over two decades of extensive experience in the international development sector, Ms. Rai has a proven track record of designing and implementing effective strategies, policies, and programs to address the root causes of poverty, inequality, and injustice. Her expertise spans monitoring and evaluation, learning and accountability, change management, partnership and fundraising, as well as communication and advocacy.
In her prior roles, including as International M&E Advisor and Acting Head of Evaluation and Accountability at ActionAid International, Ms. Rai demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Her passion lies in empowering communities to realize their rights and potential, focusing on sustainable and transformative change.
Ms. Rai has served as a Steering Committee member of the Association of INGOs in Nepal and the Consultative Committee of IWMI Nepal. Currently, she contributes as a Steering Committee member for Start Fund Nepal, further exemplifying her dedication to humanitarian response and development.
