Radhesh began his career as a financial analyst for a biotechnology firm in Los Angeles, California. He holds an MBA from the UCLA and a Bachelor of Technology from IIT, India.
At the age of 38, Radhesh Pant was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a prominent commercial bank in Nepal and was later elected President of the Nepal Bankers’ Association. He served as the founding CEO of the Investment Board of Nepal reporting directly to the Prime Minister during a period of significant socio political transformation in Nepal. During his tenure, Radhesh tackled organizational development challenges in an unstable environment and facilitated the signing of two major energy projects previously hindered by decades of geopolitical issues. One of these projects has successfully secured foreign investments, is under construction, and is slated for commercial operations by 2025.
He chairs and serves on numerous boards, including the Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources(ANSAB), advocating biodiversity conservation, and is a director at Global IME Bank Limited. Currently, Pant also chairs the board of South Asian Institute of Management (SAIM). His commitment to sustainable development and climate-focused finance has solidified his reputation as a pivotal leader in advancing Nepal’s economic landscape.
