Mr. Dhakal is a pioneering entrepreneur, Co-Founder, and Chairman of IME Group, a leading business conglomerate in Nepal. IME Group spans over two dozen enterprises across banking, remittance, energy, tourism, automobiles, insurance, IT, and infotainment, generating over 45,000 direct and indirect jobs. Starting his journey from a small grocery store in 1994, he established Nepal’s first remittance company, IME Remit, in 2001, revolutionizing cross-border money transfers and fostering formal financial systems.

As the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), he advocates for private sector-driven economic transformation. His leadership has also propelled tourism infrastructure projects, including cable car networks in all provinces. Mr. Dhakal continues to shape Nepal’s economic and social landscape, with IME Group earning the ‘Largest Taxpayer Award’ for four consecutive years.
