Pulasthi Amarasinghe is a Research Fellow at IPS with research interests in labor, health, and development economics. He has conducted research on migration, social protection, and discrimination in low-income nations using various econometric tools. His recent work examines health infrastructure and nutrition under the cross-cutting themes of climate change and gender.
Pulasthi holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Maryland, an MSc in Economics from Iowa State University, and a PhD in Economics from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
