Dr. Wignaraja is the Professorial Fellow in Economics and Trade at Gateway House in Mumbai and a Visiting Senior Fellow at ODI in London (formerly Overseas Development Institute). He is also a Board Member of the Geopolitical Cartographer and holds a visiting appointment at the National University of Singapore. His previous senior roles include Advisor to the Sri Lankan President on Strategic Trade Policy, Executive Director of Sri Lanka’s Foreign Ministry think tank, Director of Research at the ADB Institute, Visiting Scholar at the IMF, and Global Head of Trade and Competitiveness at Maxwell Stamp PLC. He has published extensively on international trade, regionalism, macroeconomics and economic development and has a DPhil in economics from Oxford University.
