Ms. Vishakha Srivastava

Ms. Vishakha Srivastava is a Senior Research Fellow (Legal) at the Centre for WTO Studies (under the Centre for Research in International Trade (CRIT), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) (established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India) in New Delhi. With a robust background in international trade law and policy, Ms. Srivastava has provided technical inputs to the Department of Commerce, Government of India, on various issues related to WTO and international trade. She has also contributed to India’s free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations with the EFTA States, the UAE, and Australia, and is involved in ongoing FTA negotiations with the UK, the EU, Peru, Sri Lanka, and Oman. Her areas of focus span trade and sustainability, and non-tariff measures, particularly technical barriers to trade and sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
Ms. Srivastava has also delivered lectures for government officials from developing and least-developed countries as part of training programs organized by the Centre as part of its capacity building mandate, and for law students in India. She has presented her research at prominent international platforms and published on subjects such as sustainable food systems, the circular economy, injury analysis under anti-dumping law, among others.
